Very nice domain, fair price for the buyer and seller.

    @ Robert

What does this post have to do with .CO?

How about keeping comments on topic instead of spamming every thread with your .CO hyperbole.

The fact of the matter is a

LLL.Co is even better than LLL.Com

for the same fact that these are selling for

    $80,000 or $75,000

    That they are short

In the same spirit, a .Co is shorter and therefore

LLL.Co should eventually command prices in this range of

    $80,000

Robert, how many LLL.co domains do you own?

It seems that if MB put up one of those Saturday musings threads that asked what people liked to barbecue, you would manage to wriggle in something like: ‘Do you realise that one day porksausages.co will be worth thousands, and it’s shorter than the .com version!’

Talk about hijacking a blog thread…!!…Take a hike, Robert C…

I like Pad.com a LOT more than POW.com….Good price for POW for the seller, imo…But, then, if the buyer of POW.com creates a multi-million business on the domain, it won’t matter what they paid for it….

    another LLL sale

    MAI.Co sold for $119,200

    this past week.

In my opinion this is a more noteworthy sale.

an interesting thing happened this morning.

I just went to a site for the fun of it

    mydomain.com

and lo behold they have the .Co

as the default registration for people to register.

I think we are going to see all registrars doing this.

anyways, yeah, MAI.Co will be worth the same but

    MAI.com sold for $119,200

  24. Hal Meyer says

    May 8, 2011 at 5:19 pm

    Robert Cline,

No one wants your .Co spam!

    .Co is another .Tel

In the long run, it will be another piece of debris on the technology scrap heap.

  25. Robert Cline says

    May 8, 2011 at 5:35 pm

    I just realized something

I was munching away on my chips watching my game, and it struck me

that even the most jealous .Co haters mentioned 1%

well that 1% of $119,200 is

    $1,192 for LLL.Co

    and I sold

    GEV.Co last week for $3,000

So LLL.Co now command somewhere on the very low end admitted by the even the avid haters, $1,200 to $5,000

plus look at all the fricken radio and tv stations you hear that need their short station name like

    KZZ
    YTV
    UST
    .
    .
    .

  27. NameJr.com says

Another extension added to the web just makes the .com more valuable in my opinion.

  28. Slate says

    @Robert Cline
Buddy, this thread has nothing to do with .CO. Give the respect this site and this thread deserves and post on topic. There are plenty of .CO threads that you can give your opinions on, this is not one of them.
The sale was clearly a .COM sale and so it makes this thread a .COM thread.
I like your enthusiasm for .CO but you do take it a bit too far at times.
Please leave appropriate comments to the appropriate threads and note that not everything is .CO.
In fact the placement of some of your comments could potentially turn people off to .CO. Remember you never know who is reading this.

    Just my opinon.
    Cheers.

  29. Robert Cline says

    May 8, 2011 at 6:44 pm

    Bullshit

    This is about LLL

    and what short domains command

and they don’t come any better short.

  30. Slate says

    May 8, 2011 at 7:22 pm

Buddy, its not about a LLL. You missed the extension (.COM).
Listen, I am not against you on .CO. I have several myself. I post on the .CO section often but this is not the place to post about .CO.
For all intensive purposes this is a .COM thread.
Its a nice sale for a good .COM LLL. Save the .CO talk for threads that pertain to .CO.

    Just my thoughts.
    Cheers

  31. correction says

    May 8, 2011 at 9:43 pm

the phrase is “intents and purposes”.

this cline dude is actually turning me off .co’s

if the .co’s he has were really a good bet he wouldn’t need to pump them incessantly. moreover he wouldn’t be selling them.

if an individual has made a good investment in an asset, then he doesn’t try desperately everyday to sell it. and that’s what this guy is doing. there’s a reason he wants to dump all his LLL.co’s for a few thousand each. hopefully naive noobs can see that.

no .com owner would dump all his LLL.com’s for those prices unless he knew they were not going to be able to cover their own reg fees via ppc.

he’s trying to find the greater fool. but he’s looking in the wrong place.

As a Vietnam Veteran whose generation has a special place in our psyche’s for the plight of thousands of POW-MIA’s left unaccounted for since the end of conflict then, I am appalled at the indifference shown in the sale of this domain name for a few pieces of silver.

In more recents examples of avarice and greed, I read how deathdomains are for sale since the US Navy Sealsand the other marshaled forces of our nation apprehended an international murderer who was responsible for the deaths of over three thousand innocent people, who came running down the stairs as NYC Firefighters EMT’s and Police went running up!

    You people disgust me.

  36. LS Morgan says

    May 9, 2011 at 10:34 am

The word “Pow” has been in common use since long before the Vietnam War. To someone like yourself, “POW” is evocative of an acronym for”Prisoner Of War”, to most other people, that isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when someone says “Pow” and that is where the value of this domain is derived.

Thanks for your service, but you’re WAY off the rails on this one.

  37. stewart says

    May 9, 2011 at 2:38 pm

LS, I am sick of people using the phrase thank you for your service thrown from the right only to add an epithet from the left in the same breath.

I just googled the ancronym POW myself at this very moment to test your theory of relativity, and viola1 Asa i expected I am directed to the top of the list being Prisoner of War. Frankly I am not too worried about ‘most people’, I am a Vietnam Veteran, I was a Vietnam Veteran when that was a dirty word, I remain Semper Fideles and on track when it comes to the POW-MIA issue and it would appear that I am not alone even today.

First, thank you for your service. Brave Americans have always changed the world. I agree with you that our country needs to be more supportive of its veterans.

But, entrepreneurship and patriotism are not incompatible.

Maybe there is a better solution. I own POWMIA.COM

Please contact me, maybe we can collaborate.
