Hack t.ag Sells For $60,000 on Sedo.com

May 5, 2011 by Michael Berkens

The domain name t.ag which is a hack for tag, just sold on Sedo.com for $60,000

Probably a record price for a .Ag domains (DnJournal.com will have to confirm).

.Ag is the country code for Antigua and Barbuda (Yes I had to look it up).

The domain was first registered in 2000.

The domain is registered under privacy at Network Solutions but for some reason it showing the owner of the domain anyway and it is listed as  Kinetic Fin.

I found a linkedin page for the company which describes itself as:

“Kinetic Fin (KF) is an independent social media consultancy based in NY and SF.

We help businesses and brands find and tell their stories online in remarkable ways.

Embrace the tools and technology of digital media to lower the cost of discovering and serving your best customers.”

A nice sale congrats to the buyer and seller

I’ve found several “exotic” names still available but all are very expensive and some need a domain owner’s presence in their countries

Michael, Network Solutions offers “whois privacy” instead of a “whois proxy”. It doesn’t protect the owner’s identity, only their email/mail/phone.
