BREAKING NEWS: A TSUNAMI Is Heading To San Francisco

March 11, 2011 by Michael Berkens

An 8.8 earthquake hit overnight in Japan causing Tsunami warnings to go up in Hawaii and along the west coast of the United States including San Francisco.

According to the New York Times:

“Waves were projected to arrive at the Northern California coast at about 7:15 a.m. local time, and hit the San Francisco Bay Area at about 8 a.m., the National Weather Service said.

Surges could reach three to seven feet along the California, Oregon and Washington coasts. Southern California is expected to be hit by three-foot waves, the authorities said.

“A tsunami was generated and is expected to cause damage to the Northern California coast,” the National Weather Service said in an advisory. “Persons at the coast should be alert to instructions from local emergency officials.”

If the ICANN meeting wasn’t going to be stormy enough, its looks like San Fransisco is going to get hit by this storm to some extent.

In Japan there are already reports of hundreds of deaths and devastation.

As someone who is scheduled to fly out to SF tomorrow, this is something a lot of us need to keep an eye on.

Our thoughts are with everyone in effected by or in the path of the storm.

If you want to learn more, there is 24/7 coverage right now on CNN.

Beginning to wonder if the news about planet Tyche headed this way is possibly real.

I read this on another blog: “While Tyche won’t come close to Earth on it’s re-entry into our solar system, it’s presence will disrupt things enough to cause changes (earthquakes, tsunami’s, tornadoes, hurricanes) on Earth not seen in at least 25,000 years. Also, it may be pulling debris (large meteors) from the Oort Cloud that will be hurtled towards all the planets of our solar system. The earth’s magnetosphere (shield) is at it’s lowest recorded level ever right now, which means incoming meteors are less likely to break-up upon entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.”

    Damn…
