ICANN just announced a change in the scheduled for the ICANN meeting in San Fransisco starting on March 14th.
According to the change ICANN is now planning on meeting with the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) for 16 hours over Tuesday and Thursday. \
“The addition of the planned Board-GAC consultations in two separate sessions, on Tuesday and Thursday.”
“These consultations were noticed by the ICANN Board and will follow the same protocol as the recent meeting in Brussels: the Board and GAC will continue their dialogue and the public will be allowed to observe.”
“Tuesday, 15 March: 9:00am – 5:00pm”
“Thursday, 17 March: 8:00am – 4:00pm”
16 More hours of meetings after the Brussels meetings went according to most reports quite poorly reflect, the only real issue keeping the new gTLD’s from being approved are trademark issues.
