Enom & Moniker Are Now Live On Afternic’s Domain Listing Service

December 17, 2010 by Michael Berkens

Enom and Moniker are both Live on Afternic as DLS Premium partners.

This means that if your names are registered at Moniker, Enom, Enom Central, or Bulk Register (or other DLS Premium Partners, NetSol, Register.com, Name.com) you can now opt-in to DLS Premium at Afternic.

Once you are opted in to DLS Premium, your names will be listed for sale at more than 24 major sites; including Enom, Moniker, NetSol, Register.com, Name.com, GoDaddy Auctions etc.

If the name is sold at a DLS Premium partner site – the names will be instantly transferred to the buyer at the time of transaction, without any further action on your part.

More than 35 Million domain queries a month are made across the DLS Premium network.

They really need to come up with a sliding scale for commissions.
25-30% is ok when you are selling a domain for $750, but if you sell one for $5,000 and up it seems outrageous to pay that much.

    250 – 1000 30%
    1001-2500 25%
    2501-4000 20%
    4001 -10000 15%
    10k and up 10%

    Or something along those lines.

unfortunately, the DLS Premium mode is not allowed for domains registered at GoDaddy

    “sliding scale for commissions”

yes, their selling fees are a bit high, but I will be happy to pay these fees, just IF they will sell my domains on auction 🙂

It is high, but just factor it into your asking price.

This is good news since your domains will get much more exposure but the fees do kinda suck…

    I agree with Mike.

    Need a sliding scale.

Obviously the terms must be similar to that in real estate where if a secondary agent (not the main listing agent) sells the domain, the main listing agent (as in registrar) gets a piece of the commission. Makes sense, while I agree the fees are high, you also have much greater exposure or chances of selling your domain through them.

“you also have much greater exposure or chances of selling your domain through them”

not so much exposure, indeed, with so many domains on sale, unless you pay $50 per domain, to buy a one month home featured option

“I agree the fees are high”

but, it seems, that everybody LIKES to pay high fees, since (e.g.) both my attempts to offer a low cost directory (to domainers’ blogs, sites, forums, etc.) than a low cost (fixed fee) place to advertise premium domains, haven’t had success, so far (but I will insist, until, all domainers, will understand the big advantages they can have)

I would be happy to pay also a 30% fee but just IF a site ASSURES me to sell all my domains at the prices I want within days … sci-fi ? a dream ? 🙂

    Thanks for the comments.

Wanted to clarify a few items regarding the fees. Afternic DLS has two different promotional levels. DLS Network, which includes 20 partners, has a 15% sales fee for sold names. DLS Premium, which includes Network Solutions, Register, Name.com and now Moniker and Enom, has a 20% sales fee. Names that are listed under DLS Premium also have “Instant Transfer” capability to all of the DLS Premium partners. More information about Afternic’s promotional levels can be found at: http://www.afternic.com/promotion-upgrade.php

Additionally, we have a cashback program at Afternic. If your name sells at Afternic, and you have used our parking platform for the domain for the past 14 days (or more), which also uses our sales link, you will receive an additional 5% cash back. This effectively makes it a 10% sales fee with DLS Network and a 15% sales fee with DLS Premium. More information can be found at http://www.afternic.com/cash-back.php

Please feel free to contact me directly at dhauser (at) afternic.com if you have any further questions, comments, or feedback.

    Thanks.

    David
