Godaddy’s Bob Parsons Will Be Keynote Speaker At DomainFest

December 2, 2010 by Michael Berkens

Oversee.net has just announced that Bob Parsons, CEO and Founder of Go Daddy, will give the keynote presentation at DOMAINfest Global 2011 Conference.

As you know, Parsons is CEO and Founder of Go Daddy, the world’s largest Web hosting provider and top domain name registrar.

His presentation will be entitled, “Luck & Perspective,” and promises to inspire attendees to improve their businesses and lives.

The fifth annual DOMAINfest Global (DFG) event will be held on February 1-3, 2011, at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.

“We are thrilled to have Bob Parsons at this year’s event,” said Oversee CEO and President Jeff Kupietzky. “Our attendees are domain investors and internet entrepreneurs who rely on DOMAINfest to provide them access to visionary leaders and internet marketing innovators.  As a leader and innovator, Bob is uniquely positioned to not only speak to them about the domain business, but also about the challenges they face as entrepreneurs. He’s a perfect fit for our audience. So we’re sure his stories and perspective will inspire and motivate everyone attending.”

Great pick by Oversee for a keynote.

One of my top 5 picks of people in the industry I would like to hear from.

Congrats to Oversee and see you there.

    Pretty cool I think, especially considering GoDaddy’s usual lack of presence at domain shows.

    So….. Will there be GoDaddy girls?

    Mike can you explain why these non sense comments from certain people are allowed in every post ? Your blog is great and you wrote months ago about editing off topic comments. Its become a total joke.

    @Mike

    I’m with Yunny. I just received an encrypted email comment from this guy. If I cared enough I’d decrypt it., but I don’t. I love conspiracy theory as much as the next guy and in fact I have a blog this guy would love but frankly we are here for business purposes. This is costing your blog and all of our productivity. I vote to ban him. This isn’t the venue for the for him to try to acheive his goals and certainly not at the scale he is employing. I’ve certainly gone from interested to annoyed. And to him I say, as much as I appreciate your insight, to that I’ll say if you are that concerned about the world coming to an end make sure you own a gun. That is if you live in a country that will let you have one. And you can take to the bank.

    Great choice for a speaker. Godaddy is one of the biggest players in the domain space and DomainSponsor may well be the single biggest, most sophisticated and organized typo and trademark squatting operation in the world. Would love to be a fly on the wall and listen to Parsons and Kupietzky brainstorm about finding new ways to cheat their customers ala Standard Tactics, Chesterton Holdings, Maltuzi and LaPorte Holdings etal. Kupietsky who seems to have put money ahead of his faith will soon be gone and I hear that when that happens Oversee plans to name Mother Theressa as their new CEO.

    Parsons is an entrepreneurial genius of the highest order.
    There might be random, negative chatter about the guy personally, his ethics or whatever, but his performance record is unarguable. This is *not* some random schmuck who lucked into the right thing at the right time. The guy has completely commanded his own destiny.

    If I could sit down with Bob Parsons and pick his brain for an hour or so, the term ‘doamain names’ probably wouldn’t even come up. Probably wouldn’t cross the street to meet someone like Don King, but would make it a pointed-point to meet Bob Parsons.

    He’s a great speaker, as he showed at the 2005 Domain Roundtable Conference I exec produced.
