    so, why not eBay.co or Yahoo.co ?

a .co domain of an existing (and successful) .com has a low value (since just used for redirect) if the buyer is the owner of the .com while has nearly ZERO value if the buyer isn’t the .com owner since it could just be the start of dispute

at $15,500 it is already priced too much

Too cynical if I predict that it will sell for its highest price ever?

Meaning that whatever it sells for now, it will never be resold for a higher price.

Slots is a very generic name. It cannot be disputed. I think it will sell close to 100K minimum

Seeing how Poker.ca went for $400000, I can see Slots.co going for $100000 easily. Premium gambling words sell high in every extension, and this will be no different.

Right but poker in Canada is much bigger than Slots in Colombia.

Also, you can play poker online, slots… not so much.

$55k (1%) of .com sounds about right.

I’ll say it goes for $100K. Solid generic in the gambling space should pull that down pretty easily. You guys can debate the merits of the .co extension all day long, but if its developed out right, this could be a very valuable property. Keep us updated on how the auction is progressing.

My guess is 10% of whatever Mr. Cline says.

    $100K+

    I own the singular version.

    http://www.SLOT.co

It would be nice to own the pair.

Since this is a landrush auction and not open to the public, I would say that it would fetch about $75k.
If this was an open auction at a publicized spot, it would fetch double that.

    Just my opinion

Slots.co has the potential to be bought and re-sold for a significantly higher amount on the open market within 12 months time. The amount paid for the top 5-10 .CO’s is setting the standard for the ultra premium .CO market as they are bought. This only creates more hype, especially when the .COM of the same name has been sold for a significantly higher amount.

Long term these ultra premium domains also seem to have some price protection vs the rest of the .CO’s, although there is no gurantee. These types of domains are much like very rare coins, stamps or collector cards. They have value in ways the remaining .CO domains do not.

However the entry price point can be limiting for some speculators/investors.

  17. Matt says

    it’ll go for around 45K

    I’m curious to see where this goes, given I own Slots.tc, Slots.ms & Slots.lc.

I’d say it goes north of $50k but not more than $200k.

With all the hype of .co that is still flying around I reckon it could top to 6 figure mark. I don’t think it would be able to reach similar figures again at resale if it is bought for that type of price. If someone has the cash to dump $5m+ on slots.com I wouldn’t be going anyway near another “slots” domain for a while as it is clear that there is already a party in the market with significantly bigger pockets than the likely buyers of slots.co (unless it ends up being the same party that purchased slots.com just wanting to protect themselves a bit more)

More fool the person who breaks the bank buying this one, although my guess is a $75k-$125k

    Rob,

It doesn’t matter that “co” is Colombia. .co is an international domain name. Thus, $100000. Slots.co will be accessible to whomever wants to play slots.

Any idea of what the current bid is at or what itwent for?

I have a few solid 2 word and 3 word .co domains so interested to see what it goes for. Obviously I’m not expecting the same for my 2 and 3 word domains but it would give me an idea how .co domains are being recieved.
