TCM.Org Sells For $9,300 On NameJet.com; MGU.com is At $26K With Days To Go At Godaddy

July 14, 2010 by Michael Berkens

The Domain TCM.org sold today on NameJet.com for $9,309.

It looks like this domain was the official site for the Museum of Science in Boston which is now at Mos.org.

Another .org,  genie.org sold today on NameJet.com for $4,415

projector.org sold for $1,778

Meanwhile a pretty unexceptional three letter .com, MGU.com is already over $26,000 with over 6 days to go at Godaddy.com.

According to Godaddy.com MGU.com only gets around 350 visitors a month so it seems like a pretty high price to pay for that domain.

As usual, let’s wait and see the winner pays for the domains 😀 I would not touch tcm.org what with the .com being a large commercial entity with trademarks etc. Genie.org – nice price, several trademarks. About MGU.com the letters are nice with plenty of acronyms. Regarding traffic vs. price, how much would a LLL.com with 200 daily uniques sell for?

    Acro

Just to be clear, MGU.com doesn’t get a couple of hundred daily uniques but only 350 a month according to godaddy

Mike, I know – that’s why I wonder if MGU.com with 350 visits /month sells for $26k+ how much would a domain with 6,000 visits /month would sell for. 🙂

Waste money for that domain mgun.com,
can you find out what it stand for?
and i am also not sure whether people can have fake bids or self bidding higher at Godaddy?

MGU is not being bought for the 10 visits a days, there’s life beyond the park it and make 0.45 cents a day

Well, market is pretty weak right now, I had MDN.com for sale a couple weeks ago and decided to shelf it until things pick up. MDN.com is a 1994 reg with 200-300+ uv a day! Whats that worth ? lol

Apparently at the time of my sale removal not quite $30k. 🙁

I would have popped this off for close to $40k a couple years ago.
