Moniker Sells Slots.Ca for an Amount “In Excess of $200K”

June 30, 2010 by Michael Berkens

Moniker.com just informed me, that hot on the heals of the sale of Slots.com for an amount in excess of $5.5M they have brokered the sale of the domain name, Slots.CA for “an amount in excess of $200,000.”

The buyer was not disclosed but this marks yet another six figure sale by Monte and his team in this year.

The next big even up for Moniker will be a one day DomainFest Event in New York on August 18th.

I have seen a few domains that will be up for auction at that event, and it may wind up being the best list of domains ever offered for auction.

I will have a blog a later tonight about a couple of the heavyweight domains that will be offered.

I just looked at the latest Moniker auction list and noticed that they have some high quality names at very low rates. Are the prices dropping to justify these low reserves?

For example Companion.com selling for a low reserve of $25,000? DownloadPornos.com selling for $10,000?

Couldn’t these names be interesting flips if they were sold to the right company?

    Tang,

I couldn’t agree more! The reserves have indeed gone down, I guess Moniker is hoping to sell as much as possible during the auction.

Btw, where are you from, Tang? šŸ™‚
