PersonalWealth.com Sells For A Rich Price On Namejet.com, $26,300

June 12, 2010 by Michael Berkens

The domain name PersonalWealth.com sold yesterday on NameJet.com for a Whopping $26,300.

The domain does have an Alexa ranking of 5M but for me it seems like a steep price to pay for the domain.

A closely related domain, RetireWealthy.com sold yesterday as well on NameJet.com for $8,621.

I actually like that domain better for the money.

Both domains were purchase by the same bidder.

Congrats to the buyer.

Mike, You and I are domainers by nature even though all of us are slowly evolving into website developers.

As a brand, PersonalWealth has a huge potential.
Unfortunately, it was a domainer that purchased it.

Since, the euro was working against them, it cost them more than it would months ago.

I’ve owned PowerWealth.com for 12 years. It gets over 2,000 unique visitors per month easily because I used to have my personal blog there. Lots of inbound links and a small fan base that I never fully exploited from a marketing perspective. I’ve gotten offers for it over the years, but never one high enough for me to let it go.

I also owned GreatWealth.com over a decade ago. Sold it for just under $1,000 way back then. It looks like it ultimately made it to an end-user, which is nice.
