HappyMothersDay.com: Did It Just Sell?

Wishing all Mothers a wonderful and well deserved very special  day.

On the domaining front, I couldn’t help but notice that the domain HappyMothersDay.com is owned by BuyDomains.com.

The domain goes to a landing page which has a big link on the top that the domain is for sale, but when you click the link it goes to a page saying the domain is not for sale.

So did the domain just sell?

The whois record still shows Buydomain as the owner and says the domain is for sale, therefore its either a pending sale or a development project with an inaccurate “for sale” link.

Guess we will find out shortly.

In case your wondering, MothersDay.com is also a parked page, but no for sale link.

I have seen that with several of BuyDomains for sale domains. The landing page say’s it’s for sale, but then the domain isn’t listed on BuyDomains.. aka resulting in it saying the domain isn’t for sale.

I think it may just be a DB error on their end. It may have sold but I am thinking it is just an error.

I’m in the Balkans where today is just another Sunday, so I forgot all about Mother’s Day–the power of advertising (or lack of advertising).

Then my son called to wish me a Happy Mother’s Day, which was really awesome, so I’m having a great day!

So I pass on the happiness to all domainers who are mothers!

    😉

I’ve seen this a few times – its not a database problem

Buydomains has a list of names where the “link” does not work or the price is hidden for marketing purposes. They will usually consider offers on names like these but you have to contact a rep.

popcornmachine.com is another example – you can buy this name but have to contact a rep. same link problems.

When in doubt ask your rep.

I am a new dad and am blown away by the experience so far.
Happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there.
Without you none of this would be possible.

it hasn’t big value, since it can be used just once per year, for a few days
