Millionaires and billionaires now have a new an place to sell and buy mega-yachts, supercars and mansions and jewelry.

BillionaireXchange officially launched today.

The site says it has already sold or exchanged more than $180 million in arts, antiques, commercial properties, businesses and foreclosed homes during a 10-month test.

Prospective members are required to show a minimum of $2 million in verifiable net worth to join.

BillionaireXchange charges seller’s a fee of 5% and said it would have generated approximately $8.75 million in revenue, had those fees been charged during the test.

The exchange says they have 26,000 multi-millionaires as well as “nearly a dozen” billionaires as its members.

If you want to do some Christmas shopping,  listed on the front page of the site is a Bugatti Veryron with a starting bid of just over $1,000,00, a diamond and platinum iPhone.com with a starting bid of $12,000 (but how doesn’t have one of those already), and a 2001 Gulfstream V for the modest starting bid of $40 Million.

The one thing the site developer doesn’t have going for it is the correct spelling of its domain, which would be BillionaireExchange.com.

That domain is going to a parked Godaddy.com page which looks like a lot less than a million bucks.

They also refer to themselves many times through there site as BXE however they do not own that domain either.

BuyDomains.com owns BXE.com and that domain name is for sale for $125K.

Maybe they can trade the Gulfstream for it.

Marketing to the super rich with a Joomla Rockettheme template? Wouldn’t something “unique” make a better point?

Well their pr seems to be working. Just saw a expose of this site on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow show! A good 3-4 mins on it too, describing it’s purpose and the riches that can be found there. I guess someone’s traffic will be spiking, and GD will reap the rewards!!

Kevin M’s correct on doing a good job with their pr.

One of the LA TV stations did a short piece on them a couple days ago.

Just the site we need, the name is better without the “e”, since it’s shorter.
i’m going to check if there are any properties for sale on the Seven Miles beach,
you should let your wife see the site, don’t you want her to experience more from what life has to offer?
