Let’s talk about Muchosucko.com for a minute, because if you only look at the domain, your going to say to yourself “that Berkens must own that domain for him to be recommending it at almost $71K”.
So first we do not own the domain.
Second the domain has quite a bit of traffic and the owner is representing to Moniker.com that the domain makes “between $6-$9k per Month.
That makes it a return of less than 1x.
Interesting.

I wrote about the domain when it was on sale at eBay.com and it sold on one bid National A-1).
So if it was a big bargain I’m not sure why there weren’t other bidders.

1. Do really expect the top tier adult domains should be sold thru a domain auction? If I owned sex.com , sex.org , xxx.com , porn.com , etc. do you really think I would offer them thru a Moniker auction?
2. Considering the adult market, domain revenue, possible legal exposure, and economy, maybe some people should sell their 2nd tier domains if they already own first tier domains.
3. Why offer premier domains in July/August? Traditionally, the summertime is the worst time to sell a domain. I guess good for buyers.

Porn.com was offered for sale in a Moniker.com auction with a reserve of like $7.5M and didn’t sell.
Moniker.com sold it privately a couple of months later for $9.5M.
sex.net and porn.net also sold through moniker.com auction.
Webcam.com just sold last August at a Rick Latona auction for $1M.
As far as Nasty.com goes, all I can tell you is that I own dirty.com and I wouldn’t sell it for $250K.

It would certainly be a no-brainer for the company that is paying a hefty annual fee for sex.tv
I have no idea of why the owners of sex.tv, wouldn’t buy this domain when their annual fee for the .TV is higher than the purchase price of this domain.
The domain itself has traffic and is not a bad deal, if you want to be in the adult internet business, deal with 2253 compliance issues credit card issues and free porn issues.
So what I’m saying is if you want to run a porn site its not a bad deal.

I got TittyJob.Com in there but I think the reserve is a little much.
Michael sex.tv is $250 premium renewal, Blue Door Ventures regged in 2002 and got a great deal. I actually own Wet.tv which has a $500 renewal its only one of 2 premiums I hold, Tea.tv being the other for $250.
I agree no park page you need to keep running the site. The whole thing is if you read some in porn they are pissed the TUBE sites give so much away for free and they are really making remarks like Making money in Porn is almost going away, its very interesting. Some have said after working x amount of weeks on a film (which is rare) the film showed up on a You Jizz or a Red Tube, not full length but each full length scene. It would be a big deal to buy the name which is a great name.

I agree, any operating adult site is a project, with all the regulatory concerns and all the “youporn.com” type of sites out there, its tough making a buck charging for something that free all over the net.
I just submitted Prick.org to Snapnames for an Aug11-Aug18 auctions, perhaps it’ll be accepted and get a bit of attention from this themed auction.

I submitted Prick.org as a general auction (via Moniker), not any particular theme.
The name was accepted and will run from 11th-18th. It’s still listed in my “Upcoming Name Sales”, classified as an auction from 11-18, but not yet in ‘Active Auctions’, and doesn’t appear to be listed as one if you search for ‘prick’ in their system.
Low reserve, so if anyone is interested, head over to Snapnames and put in a bid! Whenever it decides to list itself…! 🙂

Sorry about that. I was mistaken by the ending of what you said “get a bit of attention from this themed auction”. I thought you meant it would be In the themed auction, not just because of The themed auction running.
BTW, it should take about 24 hours for your domain to switch from Pending Review to go live. Sometimes they can be a little slow at approving, and there should be a “note” on Snapnames site about this when selecting how long you would like the auction to run. I have had it happen before… I listed a 7 day auction but it took 4 for them to approve it, so the auction was only live for 3 days.
