4 Number Domains Are Making Their Mark At NameJet.com

March 20, 2009 by Michael Berkens

I really never understood those who buy indiscriminate 4 letter .com’s, known as LLLL.com’s (of course syfy.com proved you can get a valuable one from time to time).

This last week I started noticing a lot of 4 number .com which of course are much more limited, as there are only 9999 possible combination’s selling on NameJet.com.

    MHB….

I am really really really suspicious of these sales.Even though my kinglish sucks , I cannot imagine someone buying those domains except for
    HealthCareGuide.com

Who are these buyers and how can you create a site with those crappy names?

MHB–I learned from you , you the DOMAIN PRO- the name of the domain is the name of your company and the name of your company is the name of your domain.
    KISS!!

anway, BullShitWebsites.com rules the world wide web.

Big difference in price in the NNNN.com domains. I have had a NNNN.com for years but could never sell it even though it is a four letter word on a keypad.

NNNN.coms are in huge demand in China. NNNN.com is a cheap way to invest in the growth of 1.6 billion Chinese getting on the net. Potential 1.6 million demand…. 10,000 supply. Take out NNNNs with bad number that Chinese do not like, real supply/float is 6000.

health care guide seems like a real gem, I like and own the guide dot com extension on a few domain names and think their is a lot of upside to this type of extension, of course the owners of creditcardguide.com set the benchmark pretty high with their sale to bankrate….thanks for the update, btw realize my comments are a bit off topic but this jumped out at me in your list…

If you don’t mind some self promotion, I am the exclusive broker for 525.com if anyone is interested.

Good stats, original owner, mid to lower five figures.

    EXECUTIVEPAY.COM and HealthCareGuide.com
both good names and fair priced.

    Congrats to Andrew.

I do see a good future for NNNN and LLLL dot com’s and keep a few in my portfolio I just bought them a few years ago just for the heck of it, to see what might happen when I hit 80. That is if I ever make it that far.

I wouldn’t just look at NNNN.com in terms of the Chinese market, there are lots of uses for these domains. Product numbers, addresses, years, brandables, basically every 4 letter number has millions of possible meanings, and there are only 10k of them.
