Winner Of Last Night’s Debate: JoeThePlumber.com

October 16, 2008 by Michael Berkens

An article this morning in the Silcone Valley Insider Talks about the domain name of plumber Joe Francis a plumber in Amarillo, TX.

Joe said he’s been flooded by calls since John McCain and Barack Obama spent most of the debate talking abut Ohio’s “Joe the Plumber”,  whose taxes would go up under an Obama administration.

Among those calling him: Radio stations and people looking to buy his domain name.

Joe told the Insider he was offered in the “hundreds of thousands” of dollars for the domain.

Joe is willing to part with the name.

Joe sell now before Obama wins and your taxes really do go up.

After all if you make more than $250K your one of the rich people on the same scale as Warren Buffet and Exxon-Mobil.

Who in their right mind would offer hundreds of thousands of dollars for JoethePlumber.com?

Don’t they know that it is a fad that will soon be over?

He should park it on sedo, take the first offer and put it into auction. Simple as that.

Sorry to hear that Pete. A few months later and you’d have been in the limelight.

I have to admit it , the first time I heard the term last night, I went looking to see if it was registered. Com, net, org all take. Someone nabbed Jotheplumber.com last night too.

Gotta love it. . . this guy better sell as fast as he can or he’ll end up holding something like KerryEdwards.com 🙂

    UPDATE

Joe the Plumber seems to have a great domain name but no plumbing license.

According to CNN now that Joe is in the spotlight investigators have found that neither Joe or his employers who he was trying to purchase hold a plumbing license.

    Say it ain’t so Joe

    UPDATE

Joetheplumber.com is owned by a guy named Joe and he is a plumber but not the one referred to over 15 times in the debate.

However the owner of the domain joetheplumber.com has not according to reports been offered $900K for the domain.

The domain has received according to Joe Francis, the owner of the domain over 400,000 visitors in the 24 hours after the debate.

The unlicensed plumber who was the subject of the debate is named Joe Wurzelbacher, who doesn’t own the domain

“domain over 400,000 visitors in the 24 hours after the debate.”

Yikes. His server must be on fire. He may need some extra money to pay the server bill next month 🙂
