U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, today called for “further, decisive action to fundamentally and comprehensively address the root cause of our financial system’s stresses,” adding that hundreds of billions of dollars may be needed to fix the problems.

Hundreds of Billions more?

On top of the Fannie and Freddy bailout, the “loans” to AIG.

Where is this money going to come from when the US already has a deficit of hundreds of billions?

And what will the cost be toΒ  the country?

We got a long way to go, boys and girls, hold on to your hats.

Welcome to United Socialist States of America.

I am guessing Paulson and friends already ordered a few new printing machines from China to simply print all of those billions.

Nice response there – some great Money Printing domain names are available – register them and then contact the feds as they may want to buy them since they create money out of NOTHING.

When all the big corporate financial company’s are bailed out by the Feds the American Nation will be ENSLAVED (buried in debt – without their consent)

    This is called Democracy

    UPDATE

The Treasury has now proposed that the bailout plan be for $700 Billion.

That would be in addition to the amounts already committed to Freddie and Fannie and AIG

Rumsfeld quit a long time ago so he can’t be “impeached”

Actually you can only impeach people who were elected not appointed.

If they can’t be impeached, charge them with a crime. Fabricating stories to steal from countries and kill innocent people (including American soldiers that were tricked into thinking someone from Iraq attacked NY) should be a crime anywhere. Including America.
The trillions spent on stealing oil and resources could have been better spent creating jobs and opportunity for Americans. Maybe giving them some healthcare would have been ok too.

Now you maybe on to something.

I find it incredible that this “bailout” is going to cost over $1 trillion dollars and not one person has been criminally charged.

All of the bandits have headed or are heading off into the sunset. Unless Americans make them accountable.

Regulate and license online casinos, poker sites, and sports betting so the government can profit like the states do with their lotteries, casinos, and horse racing. The bills are already floating around in congress and could easily be put into place and Americans could enjoy personal freedom again if they choose to gamble online while the federal government could raise billions of dollars.
