As .ME Breaks the 40K Range: Now The Auction is Just Getting Silly

There is currently one .me domain that has broken 40K and one right behind it.

Sitting with a high bid of $40,004 is the great domain of oglasi.me

No I don’t know what it means either.  Looking at google its has something to do with automobiles, but I have no idea.

Coming in second is one of the first day .ME auction domains, insure.me which is now at $39,035.

A nice generic domain is third in the form of toyota.me at $25,005.

In fourth place is match.me at $15,635

In fifth place there is a truly “awesome” domain:

aweso.me at the extremely reasonable price of only $15,590.

Hug.me is still going strong at $15,505, nice name but nothing as good as aweso.me or oglasi.me

There are 3 other names topping 10K, solve.me, recruit.me and china.me.

There are 23 more domains over $5K including my favorite of the bunch barharbor.me

For those battling it out in these auctions, best of luck to you.

I think I’m going to buy some .com’s

    .com’s a king
    I own 100 + .me domain names.

You can still find great .me domains and there is NO need to spend $1000+ bidding on them.

Wow. Great for .MEs but prices don’t really make sense to me.

    .com/.net for me.

oglasi meas ‘ads’ in croatian. And almost all country codes are still avialble, including .us, .asia, .name, .be, and many others. Maybe the guys bidding might want to register one of those and sve themselves about 40K.

Who on earth would be fighting over oglasi.me? I guess at least 2 people don’t have a clue on what their doing.

Insure.me sounds more realistic. Aweso.me is domain a lot people have fought over but I doubt it should be $15,900 no matter what.

    Oglasi.me is a joke.

$40k for a .me domain that is not sex.me is just plain stupid. If you all want to keep waisting your hard earned money on .me domains, go right ahead. How are those .asia domains doing for you? How are those .mobi domains doing for you?

I’d like to know if there have been many cases of people getting their friends to bid $xxxxx on a domain in a hope that someone else places a bid on it… like, as to artificially jack up the price. The fact that someone would pay so much for a crappy name like oglasi.me (and i say this from a marketing background) is beyond silly!! 🙂

    Chris

All these names are owned by the registry so shill bidding wouldn’t make sence

    “Chris

It would make sense if they were artificially jacking up the prices by shill bidding. It would be a HUGE scandal if they were and got caught though. So I doubt they would be so stupid.

I still say these prices are totally rediculous though.

Most of these auctions have 50+ bidders on them

    Cutler…
Yes, you’re correct. As soon as i posted i thought about that 😉
I just think that many of the domains that sell these days (not only .me) are completly worthless. Time will tell i guess.

oglasi.me means ads.me in croatian language…and croatia was part of yugoslavia as montengero was and has lot of things common in between.

I think its enough hint to understand value of oglassi.me
