A lot of e-mails.me

July 12, 2008 by Michael Berkens

I just got though going the 2 step process for creating separate accounts for each of the .me domains I backordered, which look like they are going into auction mode.

Although I backordered all the domains through my godaddy account in one shot, I got about 60 e-mails, one for each .me domain (not identified in the e-mail) asking me to set up an account to apparently allow me to bid in the auction of a .me domain, sometime in the future.

Of course it would have been nice to have all these domain auctions in one account and it would also have been nice for the e-mail to identify which .me domain I was setting up an account for.

I will keep you posted.

Haha, did the same thing. Spent a good hour creating all the accounts. It’s gonna be a bitch to track all of these auctions no?

    60 .me domains?!

Wow! You’ve got a whole lot of money to burn considering them domains were $99.98 a pop.

Hope everything turns out well for you in the auctions. Good luck.

I’m sure we are in some of the same but many different .me aucitons.

Do you have a maximum dollar amount in mind that you will spend on a .me domain??

I’m thinking no more than $500

I landed 2 great premium .me’s uncontested, which I’m happy about if I don’t win any of the 20 I applied for. Depending on the name though, some I won’t bid on, while others I may try going up a few hundred bucks.

My background is in development so I should be plenty busy with the 2 I landed.

    Michael,

I also received multiple emails for each domain. Have you been able to figure out a way to determine the .me domain that goes with which customer account you created?
