PPC Companies Agree to Pay Fine for Gambling Ads

Microsoft, Google and Yahoo agreed to pay a civil fine totaling 31.5 million dollars for carrying PPC ads for gambling, going back to 2000.

 

 

Microsoft paid 21 million, Yahoo share was 7.5 million and Google paid 3 million, less than half of its average daily profit of 11 million dollars.

All three companies stopped accepting and serving ads for gambling last year.

    Well the fine’s were levied because the US government believe’s that you cannot accept advertising for gambling inside the US since it is illegal.

    Since these companies no longer accept advertsing of this type they is not further issues for them
