Will the change to Network Solutions provide you any pause on deciding to list at NameJet?

September 27, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

NameJet announced today via an email sent out, that starting in October domain names will no longer be provisioned from Enom (who sends their expiry traffic to GoDaddy) and instead will go through Network Solutions. Traditionally a registrar that is not a favorite of domain investors. The email does mention a discount will be provided so that you won't be paying retail registration price. You … [Read more...]

ExerciseBalls.com closed at DropCatch yesterday for $5,212. This was the third time the name sold, each time for a lower price. However there is one other step along the way, it sold as a website a little over 2 years ago on Flippa for $10,650. Ali Zandi was the seller of the website. So a couple of days ago it was FlyMe.com closing at $14,283 on DropCatch, and Wednesday we had ReviewMe.com close at $61,500 on GoDaddy. This name was purchased in 2006 for $10,000. I confirmed that Roy's daughter was able to recover the names and the names are back to pointing to where they were before … [Read more...]

NamesCon Europe live auction results came in with a 55% sell through rate. At the end of the auction I remember the auctioneer announced the owner of Ziz.com and Zlz.com will sell them both for $50,000 as a package. Someone took them right away. The top two sales were actually two character names. 8t.com sold for $76,000 and 4M.com sold for $36,000. Total sales were $297,000. In-room … [Read more...]

There is freedom within, there is freedom without

May 27, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

The rock band Crowded House was formed in 1985 and on Sunday the domain name CrowdedHouse.com closed at $12,000 on GoDaddy. The name was owned by the founder Neil Finn who has his website at NeilFinn.com. The domain name was registered at 123 Reg not GoDaddy, now interestingly today the whois shows NameFind as the registrant. I don't know if all 123 Reg names go there first for the registrant … [Read more...]
