Only 17% of registrations are .com, compared to all other TLDs, which represent 83%. When we hit 1 million domains under management, .com accounted for 13% of registrations. While there’s been a slight increase, it still reflects the slowdown of .com registration observed in general domain market trends.

Just like the last time we explored Spaceship’s domain name trends, .shop is at the top of the leaderboard at 17%, this time tied with .com. New popular additions include .my, .skin, and .co.
Top 5 countries registering domains with Spaceship
When it comes to the location of customers who own the most domains, the United States still leads the way. Cambodia has cracked the top 5, coming in second place, now ahead of China. The Philippines is also a new addition to the ranking.
