PayPal increasing transfer fees with regards to instant transfer option

PayPal sent out an email about some upcoming changes, one that might affect some is an increase in the fee PayPal Balance account or their PayPal personal account to their eligible linked bank account or debit card using the Instant Transfer option.

Amendments to the PayPal User Agreement and the PayPal Balance Terms and Conditions

Effective June 17, 2022, we are:

  • Increasing the percentage fee charged to users to transfer money from their PayPal Balance account or their PayPal personal account to their eligible linked bank account or debit card using the Instant Transfer option. We’re also increasing the Instant Transfer maximum fee that may be charged to such users. You can preview the Consumer Fees page and the PayPal Balance Long Form Disclosure that will be effective on June 17, 2022, following such changes.
  • Increasing the minimum fee charged to users to transfer money from their PayPal business account to their eligible linked bank account or debit card using the Instant Transfer option. We’re also eliminating the Instant Transfer maximum fee cap that previously applied to such users. You can preview the Merchant Fees page that will be effective on June 17, 2022, following such changes.
