Google ending it’s simplified domain experiment

June 11, 2021 by Raymond Hackney

Google to show full url

Google will not move forward with their plans to replace the full URL displayed in the company’s Chrome web browser with just the root domain name of the site.

When Google announced this change there were many critics of the decision. gHacks.net is reporting that the so-called experiment did not bring about more relevant security metrics.

So Google will not be moving forward and will rather show the full URL and not just the domain name.
