Patterns.com confirmed stolen

December 11, 2020 by Raymond Hackney

Patterns.com

Bill Hartzer confirmed to me that he spoke with the owner of the domain name.

Their IT guy eventually said that Netsol told them that it was part of the netsol data breach a year ago.

Bill did notice that the theft looked to be more recent. “But if you look at the whois archive it was stolen on 12/7/2020.’

It’s still at BizCN and has not been returned to the owner’s account currently. Network Solutions is currently working on it.

Did they not reset passwords? Surely Netsol has liability here if was genuinely due to a data breach.

Too many problems at NetSol. I have advised clients to move out of NetSol for many years. There are still people didn’t realize NetSol had changed ownership and management many times over the last 20 years.
