Pocahontas.com redirecting to ElizabethWarren.com

August 19, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

A reader sent Michael some info on the domain name Pocahontas.com. The domain name is being pointed to ElizabethWarren.com.

The domain names was registered in 1995 and was owned by a Christopher Kryzan and it was registered at Network Solutions. In 2016 the domain name moved to Google and went under privacy, Mr. Kryzan could very well still be the owner, and it looks like he is a Democrat, so the support for Senator Warren would be in line.

Elizabeth Warren’s people are redirecting, traffic sent from pocahontas.com to elizabethwarren.com/pocahontas. That page is requesting the anonymous owner to redirect the name elsewhere.

But we urge the anonymous owner of Pocahontas.com to point their website to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center instead. And we urge all visitors of Pocahontas.com to learn about the real Pocahontas and support the NIWRC’s work of protecting Native women from violence.

It will be interesting to see if the owner takes heed and does what Senator Warren has requested with the domain name.
