The top keyword sale for Media is eMedia.com at $60,000. This name was acquired on Snapnames back in 2011. Developed today, Pioneers in Business-to-Business Lead Generation since 1999, emedia executes guaranteed CPL (Cost-per-Lead) and traffic generation campaigns for marketers across the B2B spectrum.

The number two sale is AdMedia.com at $50,000. Purchased from Sedo back in 2009. The domain is a developed website.

Number three on the list is InternetMedia.com at $20,000. The domain was purchased on Afternic back in 2007.

Media which has always been one of my favorite keywords, I especially like LLmedia.com names, I have found when a company knows they cannot get the LL.com due to price or usage, they don’t mind adding media to their name and seek out the LLmedia.com for far less than what the LL.com would cost. I actually think this works for LLapp.com as well if the company is involved in applications.

I sold OYmedia.com for $2,178 on Sedo in January. The domain was picked up on Go Daddy closeouts for $5 back in 2014. I couldn’t believe it made through to the closeout section, I actually had picked up ZKmedia.com two days before on Go Daddy closeouts for $5. ZKmedia.com I put on NameJet in 2015 and it sold for $129.

There is a .media extension which is run by Donuts. I do own a couple for full disclosure. According to Ntldstats.com there are 28,670 registered .media domain names.

    Media has always been one of my favorite keywords too Ray. Media encompasses everything, (tv, internet, mobile, newspaper, radio, etc). Means of communication that reach or influence people. I dont see any other word being as important in our biz here, except for the word “domain” of course.

    I really like the many different ways “media” can be used also. Media is used in arts and crafts, music. It is just a beautiful extremely broad usage word.

    It’s amazing. You can spend hours online adding any word to the front or behind of the word “media” and there is NOTHING available.

    Can you imagine being Elequa, FMA (Future Media Architects)?
    He actually owns Media.com. Easy 7-figure name any day of the week. I honestly believe it is an 8-figure domain.

    I don’t think you can own any more powerful dot com right now.
    Media just simply rules our world.

      I would think media.com is an easy $25m+ domain.

      But then, as you probably know, I have a vested interest in this keyword. 😉

      As for .media, I had high hopes, but with the premium pricing and the high renewals, I only bought one and that too as a match for another brand we own.

    Yes, I like media names also, just as you do, Raymond.
    I had EthereumMedia.com on my list of names to reg.
    Even had it in the checkout basket, but didn’t pull the trigger.
    A day later when I finally decided to reg it, YOU , Raymond, had beaten me to it! 🙂
    Now I’m glad I didn’t reg it because it seems the Ethereum organization is pretty aggressive about their trademark. Good luck.

    The term Media is a very common and popular term so it makes sense why it has some great stats. One of the most well known combinations is Social Media but it seems that any type of combination with the term media has been successful.

    After reading the post I went to media.com and was surprised to see it forward to this twitter account -> https://twitter.com/tkalghanim?lang=en. Must be getting so much type in traffic as well as other kind with such a massive domain name. Then I checked out SocialMedia.com and it goes to LivingSocial.com =-D
