Alexa top 500 website auction gets suspended on Flippa
Supposedly an Alexa top 500 (Top 100 in the U.S.) website was being auctioned on Flippa, this auction has been suspended the seller looks to now be banned. The URL was hidden and you needed to sign an NDA to gain access. The bidding originally had a starting price of $1m. Gay.com was once one of the best known gay personal websites on the net. The site came online in 1997 and is still getting 200,000 visitors a month, according to it's owner VS Media. VS Media acquired Gay.com last year. Gay.com’s new owner, will be the Los Angeles LGBT Center. According to a post on Yahoo, VS Media appraised the site at $6.9 million before donating it.
