    Maybe it is worth mentioning that that there are 48.994 .shop domain registrations in China ( country with 1.371 billion people).
    48.994 registrations in so huge country like China means nothing.
    Definitely, zero awareness of this extension there.
    I guess aim of this news is to encourage people to register .shop`s
    Yeah, yeah next big thing in China after LLLL.com boom 🙂

    It’s the words ‘most popular’ – normally means the brand/product with most sales in other industries. Clearly not in this instance but some arbitrary award just to be able to have an award ceremony.
