ClintonKaine.com Seller “I still have control of ClintonKaine.com through my Blogger Account”

August 20, 2016 by Raymond Hackney

Jeremey Pegg is the gentleman who sold ClintonKaine.com for $15,000 on Flippa.

He tweeted out yesterday the following:

$13,200 appeared in my bank account today, yet I still have control of https://t.co/LYK8bbPhkl through my Blogger account

— Jeremy Pegg (@JPGclog) August 20, 2016

The website is a Harry Potter fan fiction site portraying Hillary Clinton as “Hillary Potter”

He might have control but he doesn’t own it so what difference does it make? That he can put up his crappy content? I’d rather see a picture of Trump.

And………. IS HE saying that he has the money and the domain and 2 fingers up to “Buyer” ?. I hope not. In the past to be honest even doing transactions through Escrow.com I have still had the domain in my full control and money released to me but of course domain was pushed/transferred as normal but showed me a “hole” in the procedures AT THAT TIME (18 months maybe ago)

He states he recently graduated from law school (law school ranked #12 in the U..S.) and passed the NY bar.
And, the DC bar results pending. So, he is no dumb.

Does he really want to start his career by attempting to steal a domain?

What law firm would want to hire an unethical young lawyer?

I have a great game for you.. it’s call Jump to Conclusions. Domain transfers take a few days. Hole in the system b/c the escrow company released the funds early.

      Dumb.

    Big deal.

If he transferred the domain and has access to his blog via it, it just means the domain is still pointing to his webhosting.

    Pointless article is pointless

The only thing pointless is your contribution here, but after reading a lot of your comments here that seems to be the prevailing theme.

It’s a big deal because he can put up whatever he likes and the new buyer may not like it, so if he wanted to put something up even more offensive he could.

      #Idiot

Wow a bunch of so-called domain experts don’t think it’s a big deal that someone has access to a political domain name they don’t own ? Only the most toxic election in the history of the country.

Hopefully no one ever comes to you experts for advice.

I don’t know the full details.

But I believe Jane Doe is correct.

The new owner hasn’t changed the name servers yet.

I’d be really surprised if either the Hillary Clinton or Trump teams purchased this, as I spoke with the IP counsels for both candidates last month — they aren’t buying domains.

    But who knows? we’ll see

Of course the name servers haven’t changed that still doesn’t mean it’s not a problem. this guy could put up whatever he wanted on that website and on name pros there was someone there that posted whois that showed web design firm who did Dinald J trump dot com before it went private looks like it might’ve been a glitch but they showed Whois info before it went private.
