Russian Dating Site Hacked: 20 Million Members Info Released Including email address of Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail

Jennifer LeClaire over at CIO-Today published an article on the Russian dating site Topface being hacked by someone known as Mastermind. The website reports to have over 90 million members.

“A hacker calling himself ‘Mastermind’ is claiming to be in possession of over 20 million credentials for an unnamed dating site,” Daniel Ingevaldson, CTO, Easy Solutions, a fraud Relevant Products/Services protection Relevant Products/Services and black market monitoring solutions provider, told us. “These credentials are claimed to be 100 percent valid in a posting to a paste site. Included in the list are over 7 million credentials from Hotmail, 2.5 million from Yahoo and 2.2 million from Gmail.com.”

The Ripple Effect

The list appears to be international, with hundreds of domains listed from all over the world, according to Topface. That makes sense, given Topface’s claim to a rapidly growing dating service, with people all over the world registered for its service. Although the company is headquartered in Russia, half of its users are from outside the Communist nation.

    I love Russian dating site because they make fill relaxed, i love their ladies not just because they are pretty or whatever but because of who i am when am chatting with them.
