DegreeDirectory.org UpGrades To Learn.Org

January 7, 2015 by Michael Berkens

According to a press release out today the website, DegreeDirectory.org announced that it acquired and rebranded to the domain name Learn.org.

The domain appears to have been owned by Privacy Advocate at Domains.com and parked at Sedo.com

I haven’t see the sale publicly reported anyway yet but its certainly a great domain.

“The rebranding coincides with Learn.org’s renewed emphasis on answering student’s questions about degree and career options.

Learn.org now covers everything students need to know to jump start their education – from prospective college students selecting a major to veteran professionals seeking continuing education,” says Learn.org brand manager, Koby Wong.

Learn.org offers resources for every stage of a student’s education life cycle. Whether a student is choosing a major, selecting a career, or pursuing professional development, Learn.org offers the answers to the student’s questions. The new website name is clearer and better describes the resources offered to site visitors.

“Learn.org is a destination for students and prospective students who are researching their options,” says Wong. “Our new website name better reflects what we offer and is easier for students to remember.”

Learn.org also offers thousands of dollars in scholarships every year in order to help students reach their goals.””

So they literally changed their name from DegreeDirectory.org to Learn.org, with the former redirecting to the latter now. Interesting that these days people don’t even bother to give a name to their organization. They just use their domain name as the name of their organization. I also notice that on many business sites if you check their About Us page you don’t see the usual company name such as Joe Repairs LLC or Joe Repairs Co, Limited. Instead you just see Joe Repairs. Sometimes you don’t even see the address of the organization. So they just want to be seen as a global entity.

    Definitely a step up.

    Some people are learning, evidently.
