January 2, 2015 by Michael Berkens

Its only January 2nd but I already found my favorite site of 2015, givemeyourmoney.co.uk

If your wondering how I can across the site, we own the domain givemeyourmoney.com and I got an offer on the domain today and of course checked out other sites using the same domain with a different extension.

I’ll try to reach out to the owner of the domain to see how much he has received.

that’s a very nice idea. “only” needs the media piking up the news and create the hype.

The .Net owner was doing this too http://www.domaintools.com/research/screenshot-history/givemeyourmoney.net/#0

Must not have worked out because now the domain shows expired.

Mike owns the .com so maybe he should jump into the fray here.

      GiveMeYourFirstBornChildAsSacrificialVictimToAppeaseTheSunGod.org

Remains available. I think the .ORG lends the brand a nice philanthropic feel.

At least he’s sincere, he’s not trying to fool people into thinking the money will go to some random charity.

“It’s a social experiment” Brilliant! If it goes viral, he could “make” a fortune.

It’s definitely been done before. I knew of a site years ago where I think the guy even said he had made around $30,000 plus. This is already 5 to 10 years ago now. If I can recall which site it was I’ll post it here. I think it may actually have even been published by the main guy behind a web hosting company that is not very well known, but apparently a successful going concern for years now. I have also thought of trying it over the years but never did.

Let’s be honest, however, it is begging. The “social experiment” thing is, well, not exactly believable, even if whoever wrote that has convinced himself or herself that it is. If I were to do it, I would be *completely* honest and not put any spin on it.

These do not include the site from years ago I was referring to above, but just found these:
