Fox; NHL; SXSW: Here are The .Media Domains Taken In Sunrise & EAP

July 21, 2014 by Michael Berkens

The just reviewed the zone file for the new gTLD .Media which launches in general availability on Wednesday July 23rd to see what domain names were taken in Sunrise and the Early Access Program (EAP) .

Sunrise domains have to match marks in the Trademark Clearing House (TMCH), while there is an extra charge to register a domain though the EAP.

Generally speaking the largest registrants appear to be Fox, the NHL and its member teams, South by Southwest and as you will see we grabbed a few too

Some of the domains have a premium registration and renewal price:

The most fatal online marketing advice is usually supplied by one of the many members of Googles massive army of media developers and SEO/Centric Ad companies. Beware the powerpoint presentation that advises using New Derivative extensions with nonsensical names leading to usage of search engine dependance. You may get scroogled !

Gratefully, Jeff Schneider (Contact Group) (Metal Tiger) (Domain Master)

ill beware of you and your copy and pasted posts and the weirdest nonsense domain, “use biz”

btw, i thought it was “US eBiz” like US electronic business… which is pretty dated, weird, and a pretty crappy domain in my opinion. but maybe someone from a 1996 newsgroup on usenet might find it cutting edge.

ok, off to find some classic GI Joe figures.. ill try classicGIjoefigures.com first of course… after that im not sure what to do. maybe place an ad in the local newspaper or something.. localnewspaper.com might be where ill start then.

Gratefully, some guy stuck in the beginning of the internet and unwilling to acknowledge anything else (Made Up non-existent Group) (Aluminum Eagle) (Elite Domain |-|4C|<3R, LLC)

I agree with your summary of Jeff’s posts… but it’s not surprising that you wouldn’t be sure what to do if classicGIjoefigures doesn’t work… but maybe eBay will.

By the way, are you stoned or drunk whenever you post here? Your posts are rather random and always a tad on the emotional / drama-queen side.

yes im stoned and drunk every time i post here. happy now?

im aware of how powerful ebay and amazon are – they have been my sole source of income since the late 90’s.

your points seem to be a lot of “yea buts”…. yeah but ebay is the top dog… yeah but.. yeah but nothing will top .com…. yeah but, yeah but… do you say that when you visit a small local pizza joint? HEY GUYS THIS PLACE IS GREAT BUT YOU’RE NOT AS POPULAR AS PIZZA HUT LOLOLOLOL RIGHT GUYS, AM I RIGHT, HIGH FIVE!!!

yeah but, theres room for new stuff too.

You recall above where I said you were “a tad emotional / drama queen”? I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. At least I didn’t get a “whaaaaaaa” from you in this post. Just a lot of upper-case foolishness, along with a few LOLs, of course.

I’m starting to think you might just be another of Jeff Schneider’s personalities. (Since he says “we” so much.) Makes more sense, now, and gives me reason not to bother with future posts from you.

Truly this Jeff character’s spam comments are putting me off, for quite a while now

Wow, thank God none of the premium domains I’ve pre-registered exist here. Apart from .today this is another strong beautiful domain extension THAT MAKES SENSE. Others have emerged strong but with less sense, and not good looking. For example look at news.guru and news.media, the later looks better. I am eagerly waiting for tomorrow and see how many of my pre-registered will go through.

I would not hold your breathe on news.media, which is why I grabbed thenews.media yesterday

@Grim – sir, sorry sir… ill be more deadpan and like everyone else from now on.

again, my apologies. i shall live my life with lack of emotion like a truly successful and respected businessman. first order of business is to wear pants i imagine.. at least by 9a.m.

do you think people on ebay/amazon would still order from me if they knew i wasnt wearing pants?
