New gTLD 1st Day Totals: .Services 4,584 .Pub 1,285 & .GOP Zone’s File is Still Empty

July 10, 2014 by Michael Berkens

The new gTLD extension  .Services had the best first 1st day registrations numbers in a month,

Including the 565 Sunrise Registrations .Services total after the first day of General Availability is 4,584.

Two domain name Registrars, United-Domains and 1and1com sold the biggest amount of .Services about 37% of all .Services registrations

Godaddy.com sold the third most .Services domain getting more than 10% of all registrations.

.Pub’s has 1,285 domain names registration after its first day of general availability  including Sunrise applications.

.GOP on the other hand Zone filed is still basically empty

I have no idea and don’t thing I have see a registry with an empty Zone file.

Typical after the  Sunrise period the registry will add the the Sunrise domains to  the Zone files and after  Landrush those domains are  added to the zone

Of course after the  1st day of General Availability those domain names are added to.

The Sunrise period for .GOP ended a while ago and Land Rush ended on July 3rd.

Today is July 10th,

The .GOP Zone file is still empty
