Best Deal for .XYZ Registrations looks to be at Uniregistry

So far no official numbers on the first day GA registrations for .XYZ.  I have been chatting with Andy from Namestat.org and he said the same. Andy told me,  “Nope, no zone file today, no-one has the figures. Total guess but I suspect they had a very good first 8 hours;)

It does look like comedian Kevin Hart regged KevinHart.xyz and KevinHartNation.xyz

Ntldstats.com is showing 3,264 registrations but they also tweeted me that the numbers are not final. “As we collect data from more sources than the CZDS – yeah – thats the only domains we’ve checked so far.”

Looking around at registration prices, Uniregistry is the cheapest at $8.88.

Namecheap $10.88
101Domain $12.99
Go Daddy $14.99
Name.com $14.99
Uniregistry $8.88
hexonet $13.20
enom $12.99
dynadot $12.99

    I should pass that info onto the person who called me from Kuwait today, wanting to buy a domain I reg’d in 1997, but at a lower price than I’d be willing to sell it for. I don’t own the .XYZ of the name, and he seemed like a nice guy and I would have no problem with him registering an available alternative extension for the name.

    Curiously though, he seemed intent on getting the .COM. Hmmmm. Maybe if I convince him that .XYZ is “the next .COM”, he’ll be satisfied with it. (Somehow I doubt it, though.)

    Love the transparent pricing, especially that endorsed by the registry itself.

    Now, UniRegistry has to learn to take PayPal.

    @Frank T. Schilling: really!
