UDRP Filed On 17 Year Old TVS.com While UDRP on We.com Is Terminated

May 18, 2014 by Michael Berkens

A UDRP was filed on the three letter domain name, TVS.com

The Complainant is a big company,  TV Sundram Iyengar and Sons Limited which is located in Madurai, India.

The registrant of  TVS.in  is  TVS Electronics Limited.

The company TV Sundram Iyengar and Sons Limited according to Business Week was formed in 1911 looked at a possible IPO back in 2012 and says the company “operates as an automobile distribution company in India. “The company’s business activities include dealership for automobile vehicles, the distribution of spares for after-market, sales and service support for garage equipment, and sales and service products for off highway applications, such as construction and material handling. It distributes heavy duty commercial vehicles, utility and sports multi-utility vehicles, passenger cars, and construction equipment; and markets spares for trucks and cars, tractors, earthmoving equipment, gensets, and IC engines through a network of dealers.”

The domain TVS.com is owned by PA Gordon which also owns Getaway.com,, who has owned the domain name since at least 2002 according to DomainTools.com

The domain name has an original creation date of June 6th, 1997.

The domain TVS.com is parked at Sedo and appears to have been parked for the 12 years that the domain holder has owned it.

There is another variable to all this, the company filing the UDRP is also going to be running the .TVS extension.

We will keep our eye on this one.

Another case we have been following on the domain name We.com, is now showing as being Terminated.

The Complaint was filed by WE BRAND S.a.r.l.,

The domain is still owned by the same domain holders, and continues to resolve to the page it did prior to the UDRP being filed.

    Can we stop this?
If someone want to takeover one of my domain name, he will need to go to court. I, myself want to own TVS.com for my music band!
They are not alone in this world that are using tvs.
Stick to your .in and leave the honest people alone!
