If You Want To Bid On A .Club Auction Domain At Sedo You Need To Send In A Form

February 19, 2014 by Michael Berkens

The Sedo.com auction for 25 .club domain names started today but you won’t be able to bid on any of them unless and until you fill out the Auction Bidder Certification form print it out and submit it to Sedo.com via email or faxed.

This requirement seems to apply to all bidders even those who have been qualified by Sedo in the past, even those authorized to bid $10K or more even $100K or more in other auctions.

The .Club auction like other themed Sedo auction only last a week and I know many bidders don’t even look at an auction until the last day or two so many of you may well be shut out from bidding unless you get this form filed out and submitted to Sedo.

Moreover the form cannot be submitted online but needs to be emailed or faxed, so if you have interest in bidding on any of these new .Club domain names you better get the form printed out and submitted ahead of time.

The form seems to be required due to ICANN rules and the fact that Sunrise for .Club has not been held yet.

    Thanks, but no thanks.
Registries should stop these pre-sunrise auctions.
These do more harm than good.

According to their web site, Sunrise began 3 weeks ago:

    Is that not the case?

Jackie, you are correct. Sunrise for .CLUB began January 28 and ends on March 29.

    Jackie

It is the case but Sunrise is not over and that is the issue that is causing the requirement.
