IBM & Deloitte which operates the Trademark Clearing House for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN”) announced they will use the domain names TRADEMARK-CLEARINGHOUSE.UNO and TMCH.UNO to Promote Spanish Brand Awareness.”

Dot Latin LLC announced today the delegation of two key domain names to Deloitte & IBM to support the Trademark Clearinghouse.

Deloitte manages the Trademark Clearinghouse , as part of the brand protection component of the new generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) program which seeks to introduce over 1,500 new domain extensions to the Internet.

Deloitte & IBM will use the new .UNO extensions to gain access to and highlight their commitment to Spanish speaking brands and business communities.

.UNO’s vision is precise, to create the Spanish Internet. .UNO is the number one choice for Spanish speaking businesses, consumers and individuals around the globe and a highly effective branding choice for those who wish to connect to them. If it’s in Español, you’ll find it at .UNO.

.UNO is currently in the Sunrise Phase of launching the domain to the general public, which is scheduled to end on February 7, 2014. The Sunrise Phase allows trademark holders the very first opportunity to secure their .UNO domain name. In order for companies to get a .UNO domain name, they must first register their trademarks with the Trademark Clearinghouse, managed by IBM & Deloitte.

“.UNO provides an new and unique opportunity for businesses to stand out with a domain that connects them to over 490 million Spanish-speaking people worldwide.” said Dot Latin LLC CEO, Shaul Jolles. “Simply put, .UNO = Spanish.”
