Afternic Adds China’s 2nd Largest Registrar To Fast Transfer Network: Now Has 18 Of Top 20

January 7, 2014 by Michael Berkens

Afternic.com which is owned by Godaddy, today announced their partnership with Xinnet, the second-largest domain registrar in China and 17th-largest registrar in the world.

The agreement brings the world’s largest portfolio of fast-transfer domain names to Xinnet customers.

With the addition of Xinnet, Afternic Fast Transfer Network, its DLS product now boosts 18 of the top 20 domain name registrars in the world.

“Afternic has seen tremendous success in China, which is currently the company’s fastest growing market.”

“The addition of Xinnet to the Domain Listing Service and the Fast Transfer network gives Xinnet’s end users a much broader choice of domains, and provides Afternic sellers with a new audience of potential buyers.”

“Adding Xinnet to the lineup brings a great selection of domain names to business and individuals in China who are looking for their ‘just right’ name,” said Afternic Chief Revenue Officer Bob Mountain. “Afternic is focused on making the domain name aftermarket seamless and easy to access for users around the globe. We created the Domain Listing Service and the Fast Transfer network to remove the complexity of buying a domain on the aftermarket. Our goal is to give customers the same experience if they’re purchasing an aftermarket name or registering a primary domain name.”

The Afternic DLS Network has over 120 members, most who use Afternic’s Fast Transfer system.

Fast Transfer eliminates lengthy escrow and transfer processes, giving customers the domain name they want within seconds of making the purchase.

Yet, GoDaddy still not in the Network. I remember Paul Nicks telling it may happen in the beginning of 2014 but no specific date. Can’t wait!
