NWC Body Works, Inc. of Elk Grove Illinois just got hit with the proverbial Mack Truck.  as Mack Trucks filed a UDRP to gain control of the domain name MackTruck.com

The UDRP has a filing date of December 25, 2013

Bah humbug.

Not sure why the company picked this day to file a UDRP on the domain since the domain was first registered way back in October 1997 which makes the domain more than 16 year old.

According to Domaintools.com the domain has been owned by NWC since at least 2001 which is the oldest record that Domaintools.com shows.

The domain name is currently going to a Network Solutions placeholder although according to screenshots.com  the domain MachTruck.com is going to a website as recently as April 2013.

According to wikipedia.org, The Mack Brothers company was first established in 1902 and produced it first truck in 1909.

MackTrucks.com was first registered in 1995.

It will be interesting to see why the company waited some 16 plus years to  go after the singular.
