Sedo.com Is Running Yahoo Premium Domain Auction Featuring AV.com

Sedo.com is running a Branded Yahoo.com Premium Domain Name Auction.

The auction starts tomorrow November 14th and ends On November 21.

It is the first time I have seen a branded domain name auction of a public company’s domain names.

There are 29 domain names in the auction led by AV.com which has a stated reserve range of $1M-$1.5M

MyM.com has a reserve range of $100K- $250K

There are certainly some nice domain names on the list

    This is a good precedent for UDRP cases and domain lawsuits, namely a large company openly selling (indeed, auctioning to the highest bidder) domain names. Some extremists think that is wrong.

    people are running to the exits. everyone wants to cash in. no sympathy however for companies that built their portfolio snagging expired domains from clients.

    There are some good names here, but a lot of overpriced clunkers. Five figures for thebroadcastnetwork.com?

    Note that many more domains have since been added to this auction. (Including many clunkers.)
