WTF: ChrisKay.com Sells For $30,000 On Sedo After Its Just Dropped One Year Ago

October 4, 2013 by Michael Berkens

The domain name ChrisKay.com just crossed the Sedo sales wire selling for 22,000 Euro’s or just about $30,000.

In 2012 The domain name was owned by Chris Kay of Essex UK and registered at Tucows until it went into redemption and dropped in March 2012

The domain name was then registered by  someone in China then transferred  to a Christoph Kunckel of Germany in June of 2012.

Now the domain name was purchased for $30K, looking at Screenshots.com its not clear if the buyer of the domain name is the same person who owned it back in 2012 or another Chris Key.

In any event a pretty unusually sale especially for that amount of money.

Also if should be noted since the domain name was registered at Tucows.com when it dropped it could have been kept by Tucows and added to YummyNames.com inventory so they missed that one.

If you wondering we did check with UDRPSearch.com and did not find any previous cases involving this domain name.

    @Berkens

    Are you trying to say Kunckel is a knuckle head? 😉

    Looks like this Chris Kay bought it.

    I corrected the broken link in the upper right corner of chriskay.com. So it seems to be a different Chris Kay who really wanted his name in the dotcom.

    Everyone wants their name in the .com. Like I always say “you are your own brand”.
