Back in March the domain name 8888.com got a bid of 400,000 Euro’s on Sedo.com but that bid was cancelled by Sedo.com

Now a reader has spotted that the domain name 8888.com has transferred ownership.

Back in March the domain name was owned by Guo Xiaosong of  Nanjing, Jiangsu China and was going to a Sedo for sale page.

It looks like the domain ownership changed back in August to Dongliang Chen of hangzhou, Zhejiang China.

Of course we have no idea of what the domain name sold for but it does look like a sale has taken place

The number 8 in Chinese culture represents good luck.

The domain was on-hold for invalid whois information. But on the last day to renew, before entering on the renew grace period, the domain got a bid of 400k which was at least a great publicity for the domain and problably attract potential buyers attention. The domain is now registered to someone at ename.com which is one of the biggest registrars in China. Not sure if the true owner is hidding behind this whois info.
