Brand Protection Fails: This Weeks Trademark Infringing Domains That Brands Let Drop & Get Registered By Others

August 25, 2013 by Michael Berkens

Welcome to another installment in our continuing series of  trademark infringing domain names that Brands allowed to let drop and wind up in third parties hands.

Once again these are the same type of domains that we see Brands pending $1,500 a pop to file a UDRP on, plus attorneys fees.

However the Brands have seemly no interest is getting these domains off the drop for as low as $10..

As always these are not even typo’s domain names  but pretty bang on domain names which cover products services or just the Brand itself.

Here is this weeks installment of Brand Protection Fails:

SamsungPlasmaTV.com registered by NetFirms.com and is  now parked and for sale at Sedo.com for $100.

TripAdvisorUK.com is for sale at HugeDomains.com with a Buy It Now price of $1,595 (Trip Advisor owns the domain name TripAdvisor.co.uk)

TheCrownPlaza.com is for sale at HugeDomains.com with a buy it now price of $1,195.

DisneylandPackage.com is going to a  Godaddy Placeholder.

SamsungGlyde.com was registered by a Michinoku Network andis going to a “coming soon” page.  Samsung makes a phone called the Glyde.

SamsungReviews.com now goes to a registrar placeholder at NameSilo.com

GoogleEarthFreeDownload.com is going to a “future blog” page.

Just in time for Football season the domain name Foxfantasysports.com was registered by a Isaac Goldstein of Hong Kong and is going to a parked page.

The domain name CiscoProducts.com was registered by Netfirms.com and has a “coming Soon” page.

AudiNewCar.com was registered by a Noor Mohd of Great Britain and goes to a blog which already has an Google Page Rank of 1 and has an Alexa rank of 7 Million.

Speaking of Audi the domain name AudiWheels.com was registered after it dropped and its parked at Sedo and for sale for 649 Euro’s.

GamesPlayStation.com was registered after it dropped by someone in Russia and currently does not resolve.

Finally PSPBundles.com (PSP Bundles refers to several games sold together for Sony’s PlayStation product)  is for sale at HugeDomains.com for $1,595

As always we have a lot more trademark type domain names that dropped that have not yet been registered and as a matter of policy we do not publish those until they are registered.

More next week.
