ICANN Fall 2014 Meeting Heading Back To The US To Los Angeles

The ICANN Board announced tonight that is has selected Los Angeles California as its location for its third Meeting for 2014

 

The ICANN 2014 North America Public meeting, will be held on October 12th-17th, 2014.

ICANN announced last December that the meeting location for the March 2014 ICANN will be Singapore and  ICANN meeting for the June 2014  will be held in  London.

The meeting facilities and production budget of the Singapore meeting is not to exceed US$885,000, the meeting facilities and production budget of the London meeting is not to exceed US$734,000; and the Los Angeles meeting has a meeting facilities and production budget not to exceed US$568,000.

These numbers are exclusive of other meeting-related costs.

This will be the first ICANN meeting held in the United States since the March 2011 meeting which was held in San Fransisco.

    With all this expensive meetings, Icann leaves very little space for other Domainers events.

    Maybe Icann can Sponsor/support other local events in the future ?
