April 19, 2013 by Michael Berkens

Within minutes of authorities releasing the name of the remaining suspect in the Boston bombings Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the domain name DzhokharTsarnaev.com was registered and the Domain goes to a site containing pictures of the suspect as well as some news stories about him.  The domain was registered under privacy.

As of now, there is no advertising of any kind on the domain.

The domain name of the suspect that was shot to death overnight by the authorities was also registered TamerlanTsarnaev.com but that domain currently does to a blank page.  That domain was registered to a orgainzation called “Anti-money Laundering Consultancy”

The domain name of the first name of the deceased suspect,  Tsarnaev.com was also registered today under privavy and goes to a Godaddy.com placeholder.

The domain name of first name of the current suspect,  Dzhokhar.com, was registered back in 2008 and goes to a site that seems to be  selling domain names called  Caucasus.biz :: Caucasus Domain Portfolio

The site says:

“”Caucasus.biz is leading Domain Holding Company for Caucasus Region. Every day, we connect thousands of local consumers and businesses. One of several ways we accomplish this is through the operation of Internet Web sites corresponding to generic domain names. Therefore, we own a portfolio of domain names, only some of which may be available for sale.”
