RomneyRyan.com Fails To Sell On Flippa.com

August 31, 2012 by Michael Berkens

As tonight marked the close of the Republican National Convention so it marked the closing the auction for the domain name RomneyRyan.com

After over a 10 days of bidding the domain failed to hit the still unknown reserve price, closing with a high bid of only $8,025.

Despite all the publicity that the domain name got, at the end of the auction there were only three bids placed none resulting in a sale.

With only 67 days now left until election day it will be interesting to follow this domain to see if it sells before election day.

    …what a bunch of hogwash!!!

Eight grand and he don’t wanna sell? You gotta know that the fault lies with the seller, because he HAD a willing buyer. Hope he re-regs the name for the next 8 years…

Mike, I nominate this as your most unintentionally ironic headline ever.

The history of Presidential campaigns has tended to steer more toward the presidential candidates name anyway.
GeorgeBush.com JohnKerry.com BarackObama.com . . etc. The VP versions have been used but not as heavily relied on historically.

UDRP panelist Doug Isenberg recently wrote “Romney and Ryan Don’t Have RomneyRyan.com. So What?” http://isenbergondomains.com/2012/08/17/romney-and-ryan-dont-have-romneyryan-com-so-what/

If this guy and others want to think of these names as lottery tickets, they should realize they’re the scratch-off ticket variety.

Apparently, Paul Ryan promised to buy it but then delivered that monumental speech that was full of untruths, so no surprise there.

But Mike, you have to let us know whether Clint Eastwood gave your emptychair.com a traffic spike last night. Lol.

“Probably emptychair.com is worth more than RomneyRyan.com”

I was talking to my sofa last night, and it said the same thing.

    Acro –
“Apparently, Paul Ryan promised to buy it but then delivered that monumental speech that was full of untruths, so no surprise there”

For me, instead of talking to an empty chair, I stand in front of the mirror (naked) and realize all the problems in the world and rather than pointing my finger at everybody else, like NBC, CNN or even FoxNews and their “genius” “heroes”, instead I point my fingers at myself as the only “Solution”.

In the end – there is no difference between a empty chair or a mirror – it is whatever it takes to jerk you off 🙂

“I stand in front of the mirror (naked) and realize all the problems in the world”

Brian, I agree it is more important for an individual to work on their own shortcomings than it is to criticize others.
