Mike Mann’s Domain Asset Holding Sells Stepout.com For $30K To Ignighter, Inc A Group Dating Company

September 28, 2011 by Michael Berkens

Mike Mann’s company Domain Asset Holding just sold the domain name Stepout.com for $30,000 through Sedo.com

The buyer of the domain is a company called Ignighter, Inc out of New York which seems to be a pretty big company in the Group Dating space.

The site is already up and running pretty much going to Ignighter.com main site

As for what group dating is

Let’s be honest, 90% of the time meeting someone one-on-one is more awkward than a junior high dance. You’re both too nervous thinking about how quickly you can down a glass of wine without coming across like a raging alcoholic to remember – this is supposed to be fun!

That’s why we created Ignighter. It lets you and your date bring your best accessory on every date: your friends. It takes the pressure (and probably a good amount of sweat) out of the equation, so you can chill out and have a good time.

  • Thousands of people online in your city, guaranteed.
  • Use our proprietary group matching engine to sort through the thousands of groups near you to find the right one for you.
  • Group Dating has been called “the most fun way to meet new people”.
  • Thousands of new members join every single day.
  • Whether you’re looking to find a soul-mate or just to have some fun, Ignighter Group Dating is a great, easy way to meet new people.

Congrats to Mike and the buyer.

Seems sort of cheap for a established domainer to sell to such an established company?

    @Ron,

I don’t necessarily agree that it was cheap, but one thing I can say is Mike tends to have decent price points. He has made several 5 figure sales this year alone. He obviously has a formula that works and isn’t waiting around for the magical 6 to 7 figure sale of the year.

Personally I would take a 5 figure domain sale any day. Good luck to all of the parties involved in this transaction.

“It lets you and your date bring your best accessory on every date: your friends”

So this is aimed towards the Jr. High crowd, or just those that never matured past that point?

What’s next? Will they be adding the “friends” to the bedroom as well? oh wait, that’s that other site….
