Afternic App Is Now on iTunes Store For iPhones & iPads & Its Free

August 4, 2011 by Michael Berkens

NameMedia’s Afternic domain marketplace is now accessible to iPhone and iPad users through a free application available via Apple’s App Store.

According to Name Media, AfternicDLS Mobile will offer the world’s estimated 120 million iPhone and 25 million iPad users one-click access to the world’s largest domain marketplace: the Domain Listing Service (DLS).

“Afternic is the only domain marketplace offering a mobile application to support search and bidding activities.”

“The application allows prospective domain buyers to search an inventory that includes millions of premium domain names listed for sale through DLS. Users will also be able to download lists of available domains based on custom searches.”

“By embracing new technologies we extend the reach of the DLS and better meet the changing needs of our customers. As the world relies more on handheld devices to do business, offering a mobile application is a logical step in improving access to our inventory. Both domain sellers and buyers benefit if we are able to connect supply and demand effectively,” said Jason Miner, Senior Vice President and General Manager of NameMedia’s marketplace.”

You can search the Apple iTunes store with the term “afternic” and find the iPhone and iPad Apps.

I just downloaded them.

I have been creating Apps for my websites and it brings in lots of traffic and lots of MONEY…easier to sell my sites too

You need to dig deep now, besides creating silly wordpress websites, you need to create Apps.

I am becoming an App developer now.

Here are some of the Apps:

I can’t believe Sedo doesn’t have an app yet. They are very late to the game here.

I also develop apps and if you don’t mind, Michael, I would like to shamelessly promote one here too. It’s an encyclopedia of serial killers for iOS and you can find it at x.co/psycho

It was relatively easy and cheap and Sedo could quite easily get one done. There have been several times when I’ve wanted to browse Sedo on my phone but using their site on a mobile is near impossible.
