4Square.com Goes For $32K On NameJet.com & Rex.com Pulls In $68K

July 27, 2011 by Michael Berkens

The domain name 4Square.com sold on NameJet.com for $32,100.

With three bidders of $10K or more the domain which is an alternative to the app Four Square went I believe to a frequent buyer Id on NameJet and probably not to the owner of the App.

Separately the domain Rex.com sold for a lofty $68K today on Namejet.

The domain had 14 bidders of $10K or more,  one of the most active auctions I have seen at that level.

There were a few more sales on Namejet.com today listed below.

No doubt The buyers have returned to NameJet.

rex.com $68,100
4square.com $32,100
mortgageloancalculator.com $14,000
equitymortgage.com $5,000
funtube.com $4,210
tsca.com $3,400
escortbay.com $2,500
ebgame.com $2,105
gml.org $1,601
$133,016

Did the seller suffer a loss on this one?

    John

I’m told that sale never completed and the domain was stolen the next year

Looks like the domain has a checkered past

That was just a failed trick get someone to believe there really was a $395K bid at Sedo and foolishly pay $400K. The guy spammed heavily about his single bid at Sedo that met the reserve.
